I was fairly impressed with this Backpacker's hostel. I almost exclusively stayed at backpacker's places, youth hostels, and other budget accom when I was in Australia. This place doesn't fail to impress. It is clean and comfortable, it's reasonably priced, and it's close to town.
The service was great. The people were so nice and friendly. There's plenty of room in the hostel to hang out with people or to get away and be by yourself.
You have a selection of types of rooms. Dorms start at about A$15 a night. You can also get a motel type of room for about A$60 or a family room for about $65.
Beyond the typical youth hostel or backpackers type of amenities (laundry, kitchen, luggage storage, tv room, etc), there are lots of extras here: a pool, free shuttle, pool table, a bar, dinners, and more.
Also, when I was there, they offered a free night accom if you booked certain tours through them. Nothing better than a free night accom when you're on a budget - and if you're going a tour anyway, it's a double bonus!!
