  • I stayed here for a few weeks in June/July 2006, and really enjoyed it. The staff are lovely, and the hostel was quite nice. The higher-occupancy rooms can get pretty messy, so I'd recommend the smaller ones if you can afford it. This place is quite close to the center of town, but not on the nightclub strip like all the others (about a 5 minute walk to get there), so you can actually get some sleep here. Also, it's across the street from a big park. The price is also slightly cheaper than the others, usually.

  • Will be arriving at Frogs next week in the wee hours of morning. Some may call it the "graveyard shift". Hope everything goes well. I'll be back with a review. Though I've read somewhere that they were referred to as the best backpackers by Lonely Planet in 2002. Let's hope they live up to that. I'm not getting my hopes up too high, lest I may be disappointed. Cheers all!

  • We stayed at "Frogs" last year and actually returned later into our visit to the N.T.
    Although not the fanciest accommodation around, in terms of friendliness it is a really great place to stay. Fellow travelers of all age groups from many countries mix happily together making it a lot of fun. It has a well appointed kitchen with plenty of refrigeration space to share. Naturally the private rooms are the best and are certainly the most reasonable in town. Once you settle in you will really enjoy the place John, Chelsea and the team are all fantastic people and are really helpful.
    It is a very short walk to the town centre as others said and there is a really fantastic little shuttle bus which you can get around town on as well as a very affordable service to the Airport.
    I wish you a happy stay.

    Frogs hollow has a nice pool and spa surrounded by a tropical garden in which you can relax on one of the many sun lounges. A lounge area opens out into this area and there is also a big B.B.Q provided to cook on and share some culinary delights with new found friends.
