In Esfahan I stayed at Aria Hotel, which was recommended. It was a nice place, but nothing special. The room was comfortable with two beds, air-condition a fridge and a TV. In many hotels where I stayed in Iran the picture on the TV was not very clear, but at Aria the picture was good and I watched the World Cup Final between France and Italy (even though I’m not very interested in football). In the bathroom there was a bath (with shower). At a first glance the room looked very clean, but at a closer look there was for example hair in the bed (as in many hotels in Iran). As I arrived they were cleaning the room and changing sheets. But it looked like they had only changed the upper sheets in the beds (I might be wrong). Breakfast is included in the price and consists of tea and bread with jam, butter and cheese. For the room I paid IR 135 000 a night (July 2006). As I checked out I forgot to ask for my passport (at some hotels you don’t leave it in the reception and I forgot I had done so in Aria Hotel). And they didn’t hand it over to me. Not until I was in Kashan I realised the passport was still in Esfahan. They called Aria from the hotel in Kashan and my passport was sent with the next bus to Kashan. The journey for the passport was more expensive than mine, but it was a good service. Leave a Comment Theme: HotelPrice: less than US$20 » Currency ConverterAddress: Shahid StreetPhone: 222 7224
