    On a previous trip to Brazil, I stayed in Everest Rio (ipanema) and Rio Atlantica (Copacabana). Both were pretty nice, but Ipanema Plaza was by far my favorite place to stay. It's conveniently located (near the beach, restos, and shops) and the rooms were modern and clean. There's also a great roof top pool, from which the views of Corcovado and Ipanema Beach were glorious. To top things off, the staff at Ipanema Plaza were extremely friendly and accommodating - helping us plan tours and allowing us to check out late to accommodate our late day flight. I would definitely recommend staying in the Ipanema area over Copacabana because it feels a lot safer and less touristy. And above all, I would recommend Ipanema Plaza for the service, location, price and cleanliness. I will definitely stay here again.

    This hotel is in an excellent place and very safe. It is close to the beach, shopping and a good selection of restaurants.

    Although a little expensive it is a very nice hotel.

    Great Pool and bar on the roof offering fantastic views.

    The breakfast is excellent.
