Hotel Monasterio Cusco (Cusco, Peru)- Hotel Reviews

We didnt really think of coming here until we started mapping out a plan of our independant walking tour and we had San Blas on our list and the Museum Pre-colombiano. From there we noticed that we were near the Monastario Hotel. I read alot of interesting things about this place so we decided to check it out.
In 1592 the San Antonio Abad monastery was built on top of an Incan palace. In 1995 This place was converted to a luxury hotel. The location of this place is something that I really liked too. Although you are not too close to the Plaza de Armas its in the San Blas neighborhood and I loved this place.
There is also a restaurant here that appears to be in the "church area" of the monastery. Although I did find this place very beautiful it did feel alittle stuffy for me. The service seemed good but I couldnt say spectacular and this place is VERY EXPENSIVE!
The courtyards are elegantly manicured as you can see in the pictures we took and even though I didnt see the rooms I hear they are top notch.

Something that really caught my attention was that it is said that this hotel pumps oxygen into the rooms directly through thier ventilation system. I thought that was interesting. It might not seem like a big deal but for some people that have alot of problems due to the altitude they might enjoy this.
