 | Moshi Things To Do | Tips 1 - 7 of 7 | | Popular Things To Do | Other Things To Do Tips | All Tips (7) This was an excellent 4 day trek, arranged for us by Tanganyika Travels Ltd. The first day we were driven from our hotel to the Ngorongoro Crater, a long journey of about 4 hours over bumpy roads. We arrived at the Ngorongoro National Park and descended into the crater to spot Big Game. Our guide was very thorough and made sure we missed nothing! I have included my wildlife pics in the travelogues below. We camped in the back yard of the Masai, who helped us pitch tents, mend cars, carry our stuff with the help of their donkeys, guided us on walks and joined us in the evenings around a roaring campfire. Some Masai children were fascinated by my camera and took photos of each other...they're among my favourite shots of the whole holiday (most of the time you would be charged money for taking photos of people, so this was a real bonus for me!) We walked for 3 days, and on the final night there was a chance to climb a live volcano...Ol Donyo Lengai. Unfortunately the journey to the top was halted by Alex being sick within half an hour of the top, but still... Leave a Comment

On the main thoroughfare, one can see Christian churches, Hindu temples and Muslim mosques all right next to each other. I also saw a Sikh mandir as we were driving around town. It was wonderful to watch all these major religions coexist so harmoniously. Leave a Comment

Took a day out with friends to walk to Moonjo from Marangu and then have a little swim. Beautiful scenery, absolutely amazing walk, tropical lush greenery and vegetation. When we got off the bus at Moonjo, we were met by loads of guides. They are invaluable. On the way to the Falls, our guide took us to his home and gave us fresh bananas and oranges. The Falls were beautiful and the water was clean but very cold. Probably one of the best times in my life! Leave a Comment Address: MoonjoDirections: Took a bus from Moshi Bus Station. Very easy and very cheap!

Just arrived from Arusha, after checking in at Leopard's, a relaxed walk in Moshi main streets. The little sunny city is full of colors and life. People just walking by, relaxed and moving! There are plenty of fruits and vegetables, all kind of shops selling every imaginable item, even those that you may think that do not exist anymore. definitelly a must, walking around in moshi, Kilimanjaro base....
