Bushbird operates from the main airport. An Ultra-Light is like a Micro-Light, but with a fixed wing. One is not allowed to take a camera with on a Micro Light Aircraft flight, but with an Ultra-Light you can. A helicopter or light aircraft does not give you the same thrill as the open Ultra-Light. Visit Victoria Falls. Apart from the Falls themselves, something is provided for everybody by way of entertainment, experience or excitement - wild animals, wild sports (white-water rafting, bungee-jumping, canoeing), wild dancing, very civilised accommodation, food & drink.
Far horizons, wonderfull sunsets, nicest people. Leave a Comment

When I left the airport of Harare the first thing of Zimbabwe I saw was a beautiful purple tree: the Jacaranda. The flowering time of this tree is October and you could see that. In Harare and all over Zimbabwe you can see the purple glow of these trees. A very beautiful view. Leave a Comment

During a game drive in Rhodes Matopos National Park you can see some rocks stacked on each other. The 'nick name' of these rocks are mother and child. This name is given to the rocks because from a distance they have the shape of a mother who is looking after her child. Leave a Comment

Animals, Animals, Animals! Elephants, Giraffes, Rhino's, lions, hyenas, zebra all can be seen in Hwange National Park.
It was just amazing to be so close to animals in the wild when I'd only ever seen them before in Zoo's. Leave a Comment

When visiting Zimbabwe you absolutely must: - check out the obscure art in Harare. The markets located in the Avondale and Borowdale shopping areas have a vast collection of Zimbabwe art. They’re open on week-ends and all artist will negotiate for lower prices. Our favorite stands were the ones near the Westgate Mall on Kariba Road. Several artist sell stone sculpture, batiks, baskets, and the usual items. They love trading their wares for clothing-T-shirts, skirts, blouses, shorts, just about anything your interested in. Everybody has great fun trading and laughing about how marvelous the clothes looks on the artist, even if too large or small. It’s a great way to acquire special pieces of art and get to know the artist. But don’t forget to also give them a little money; they desperately need it!
Fondest memory of Zimbabwe: My fondest memory of Zimbabwe and what I miss the most when I’m away is THE PEOPLE OF THE RURAL VILLAGES. They are warm, friendly and very happy to share their cultural. The headmaster of the school we took supplies to assembled the entire student body and the Zimbabwe Girl Guides danced and sang for us; it was very moving! We have now formed an on-going relationship with this school and after returning the states several hometown schools send supplies regularly. It’s been a great way of sharing our wonderful Zimbabwe adventure with others.
