El templo de Adoración de los Antepasados es la parte más grande y más impresionante de las cuevas .
Su figura central es el Buda Vairocana o Buda de la Luz Ilimitada que mide 17 metros , sus orejas son de dos metros y se la ha llamado por su sonrisa la Mona Lisa de Oriente
Las estatua de Amanda y Kasyapa están a los lados de del Buda Vairocana , una está muy deteriorada y la otra en buen estado ( Amanda fue discípulo de Sakyamuni y fue el que compiló los sutras budistas ) , también hay a cada lado dos bodishattvas
En la pared del fondo hay dos guardianes celestes , uno de ellos es el rey celestial que sostiene una estatua votiva mientras aplasta un demonio con el pie
