Longest fence in the world, the Dingo Fence runs along side the lake. The old and the new fences run close by. Don't forget to close the gates after you pass through. Unlike other gates in the outback, don't leave it open if you find it already open.

Remote area travel
This is a remote area and although the trip to the lake isn't particularly difficult, be sure you're carrying sufficient water and food in case the unexpected does happen and you are stranded for a while. Remember, shade as well as water is in short supply.

Animals
Watch for emus along the track. When spooked they're just as likely to race off around the other side of the scrub and come out right in front of you. The same could be applied to kangaroos, although I didn't see any along the track. There were lots of their footprints around the edges of the lake though.
