    If we happened to be in Playa Naranjo when we got hungry, we stopped into The Hotel Oasis del Pacifico, and ate at their restaurant.
    They cater to the yachters passing by the area.
    The food was very good and the decor is Asian because the wife is from Singapore.

    Great seafood, inexpensive, and outdoor dining.

    We had breakfast every morning and dinner most every evening at the hotel.
    Since the hotel was full with a special group, they set us a table out side on the managers patio.
    To our surprise, the first morning, we saw that the fruit trees were all in bloom and they were full of parrots.

    We had a nice Tico breakfast and great seafood for dinner, in our own private space.

    Rolando's is a Steakhouse and Pizzas but when the owner, maybe Rolando, asked and knew to have a couple of Italian clients, I didn't succed in saying no to his proposal of a special kebab with fresh fish, included a prawn, which was his pride... and when I was served my fish, he also wanted to give me a more suitable fork to eat it...
    IF (please pay attention to my if) food in Costa Rica can be called expensive (it's not compared to European prices for meals and snacks) here I had my most expensive meal of the whole trip but it was very good and the service excellent... and if you choose from the menu not taking a special dish, all have more than reasonable prices...

    if you like local, not touristic places, which are my best liked for sure, soda Geovanna is for you!!!
    It was my first soda and I found a little bit unusual what then became an habit to find: there is a washbasin in the local where you can wash your hands and maybe because sometimes the bathroom hasn't it...
    and there was no menu because probably everyone knows what you can order but the lady told me what I could have, not without some strange looks from her and the people in the soda but I also got a friendly wink from a person sitting at the counter...

    and I was introduced to natilla which I not only liked, I loved from then on: it's a sort of mascarpone in the consistency but with a more marked taste and it's lovely also on simple bread while normally you eat with eggs and gallo pinto (made of rice)... yummyyyyyy...
