 | Bonn Nightlife | Tips 1 - 10 of 15 | | Popular Nightlife | Other Nightlife Tips | All Tips (15) Going to the concert of the Battlefield Band was Win's idea. And I should admit it was an excellent one. The band was fantastic and created fabulous mood in the public. If you are inetersted have a look at the rest of the pictures, the are pretty interesting bunch of people and also very good mucisians. I was truely impressed by the variety if instruments they had used. The concert was held in Brotfabrik. From what Win told me I understood that the building is an ex-factory used at present for a cultural center. It is known to be a good spot for concerts and watching European movies without translation. So, if you are a bit nostalgic about some English speech you might try your luck there. I had put the link to their website here but it will not be very useful to you unless you know German.

This is a very popular and spacious pub built into the rooms of a former brewery protected under the cultural heritage code. Mixed clientele, very enjyoyable. Pub grub above standards, both in size and quality -- and, slightly, also in price. Upscale place for young and old and everyone inbetween :))

Most people in search for good night life go to the near town of Cologne (about 20 min by train), because Bonn hasn't much to offer. There is the discotheque "Carpe Noctem" near the bus station, that plays everything from Crossover to metal (depending on the day) that is so-so. Same is "Nachtschicht" near the "Stadthaus". If you like Chart pop (mostly 80s and 90s), go to "Jazzkantine" at Oxfordstrasse. For house fans, there is "3raumwohnung" near the opera building, and "Tiefenrausch" near the Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz, which I can both recommend. Cologne (Koeln in German) has got a much better choice to offer: "Warehouse" for fans of house and techno, or "Neuschwanstein" for those who like glamour, neatly dressed upper class people and exaggerated prices (most discotheques charge an entrance fee including one drink for free, but generally, drinks are quite expensive - up to 5 EUR). Along the "Rudolfplatz" in Cologne are a lot of nice bars and discos. Leave a Comment Theme: Dancing

Each village seems to have an Irish themed pub now, but this one is a really good one! The authenticity is greatly enhanced by Beamish from the tap and an excellent Irish flavoured cuisine. If you must crash, do it here! Great place! Beer garden. Leave a Comment

Night Shift(but you gotta translate this to German) so it must be something like 'Nacht something' very cool dance club. There were two cool pubs located right next door to this. and this one was really cool, 'Joeys Apartament'that one is a must. Have fun.

Every city in Germany has its local beer, and Bonn is no exception. That said, the local delicacy, called "Bonnsch" is pretty darn similar to Kolsch, the happy hoppy beer made in Cologne and sold throughout the world. While we were in Bonn, we stopped by a local brewery and sampled their wares. And it was good. Can you beat a town with excellent beer and wurst? No. Bonn ist wunderbar! Theme: Eating and Drinking

My last night was a good night...aside from creepy old men and older guys trying to get us to come back to their house and stay there, the night was fun. Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and Drinking

When I was rolling along the Rhinebank promenade I was always wondering what's the giggling up there up on and behind the wall -- now I found out! Bonn has quite a long riverside on both Rhine banks so there is a fair number of beer gardens catering for the thirsts of walkers, cyclists and rollerbladers. This one is a bit different as it is the closest one to the inner city and only a stone's throw from the university's main building. Not surprising it's a popular student summer hangout but I don't think there's anyone who wouldn't like to sit under such a great roof enjoying a mild summer's night. The Kölsch from the tap is very good and they also have reasonably priced pub grub including small pizzas for about EUR 5 each.

This place used to be a brothel called "Lady Hamilton's", though now it's probably dirtier =) The decor stays true to this history with old gilded mirrors and 60s nudie art on the walls, and a very "worn-in", "comfortable" (or just dirty) vibe. Musically like nothing else in Bonn, it's 60s rock and soul, a very refreshing change from your standard house. Crowd is a good mix (Thursday is big for students I believe), and thankfully devoid of snobby types. Occasionally dancing but mainly sitting and talking, it's open very late so is a refuge for many at the end of their night.
Streetwear. In fact they'd probably turn you away if you dressed too well =) Theme: NightclubAddress: Rathausgasse 10
