For luggage it depends for how long you are staying however if you need anything you will always find what you want in Malta!
In Summer casual light clothing is good ! In the evening it does not get chilly so need of any jacket. However, towards September it gets fresher so you will need something to put over just in case especially in the evenings! In Winter, it is cold so bring clothes with long sleeves however in addition if you get a jacket or a rain coat its good.
Don't forget sun protection and mosquito repellent as in Summer especially at night it's hard to sleep if you do not have mosquito repellant! Re medical supplies in Malta we have loads of pharmacies in all villages however on Sunday only a few pharmacies open but if you buy 'The Sunday Times' you can check the pharmacies that will be open on that particular Sunday of the week.
Yes, one can bring a camera or a video as there are many nice views !
If you love camping there are many places where one can go camping. If you need camping equipment there are a few shops which sell this type of equipment! For the beach bring towels, swim suit and goggles if you want to go snorkling Leave a Comment

Very cool clothes in Summer, because it gets extremely hot and dry, temperature reaches between 30-40 deg. cel. Obviously your swimsuit to swim in one of our many beaches, to relieve yourself from the sweltering heat, and comfy open sandals! In Winter, you would need a light jacket for the evening, and a couple of jumpers. It's not exactly North Pole around here! haha
If you plan on visiting Malta in summer, please bring anti-mosquito spray with you!! They are the biggest pains in the world, and if you are the type of person they annoy, then get protection against them! If they do bite, they won't do any harm, but better be safe than sorry!!
Loads of camera/photo shops around, found mostly in the busier areas like Sliema/Valletta/Bugibba/St. Julian's etc... So no probs there.
Beach: Loads and loads of sunblock! A hat/cap would be a good idea and lotsssss of smiles!!!!! We love happy tourists :) :) Leave a Comment

If May 2002 was typical of any other spring in Malta, you'll want sunscreen, shorts, a hat and sandals. It was warm, not hot, during the day, but the sun is VERY strong. Next to the sea the breeze is cool, almost chilly in the evening, so bring a fleece or jumper. A beach towel to wrap up in is handy if you're going on a boat ride across the open sea. We had a couple of overcast days, very occasional light showers and one big thunderstorm. It was frustrating to have sunny days that were too windy to spend on the beach...so we went hiking instead.
Rent a video! Even Madonna wore her floppy hat when she came to Malta to make SWEPT AWAY with Guy Ritchie. It's not as bad as people said, but aside from a glimpse of the Blue Lagoon most of the movie was filmed on Sardinia. A halfway decent movie made in Malta (and Ireland) is COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO. You'll spot many landmarks, including Mdina. Leave a Comment

Malta has a Mediterranean climate: mild winters and hot summers. In winter it's never colder than 10°C, but it rains sometimes. In summer temperatures can reach more than 40°C. So, if you're visiting Malta in summer, bring some shorts and t-shirts; in winter a jacket, pullover and jeans.
lots of sunscreen!!! Leave a Comment

Sandals: Malta is a small island and usually sunny and warm. Take sandals with you, which will be most useful. Hat and Shades: Will be useful as well.
Suntan location if you plan to spend time outside and not only at the nightclubs Leave a Comment

You may want to bring a backpack or a bag large enough to carry a bottle of water around in, especially during the summer months. It may not be that hot but the weather is fairly dry and the island is very dusty.
Good walking shoes. Something that is comfortable because even if you take the buses you may have to walk quite a distance to arrive at where you are going. A hat is also something you should consider. The sun is strong in spring and summer months. You'll be glad you have it keeping the heat from the sun off your head wihle you see the temples, also good to cover your face with on the beach or by the pool.
A strong sunscreen- This shouldn't have to be said but I'll recommend it anyway. It doesnt take long to burn in Malta. The higher the better because you will be almost constantly outdoors and on the go here. Leave a Comment
