 | Whitby Nightlife | Tips 1 - 6 of 6 | | Popular Nightlife | Other Nightlife Tips | All Tips (6) At about 19.30 there are nightly walks from near the Whalebones on West Cliff, led by a costumed guide, which are ghost walk/ In search of Dracula themed. I'd intended to join this walk, but it was very windy, and as I set off to join the walk, it started to rain, so I decided to retire to a warm pub instead. Next time I'm staying in Whitby, I'll hopefully do this walk, as it has been recommended to me. Adults £4.00 Children (under 14) £2.00
Probably best to wrap up in warm/wet weather gear. Comfy shoes. Garlic/crucifixes optional!!! Whitby's newest Night club, only recently opened in May 2008 after much Legal wrangling. Located on Wellington Road, above BEEZ. Not been there (I ain't really much of a going out person, especially at night), but exchanges between my Facebook friends suggests the place has potential.
None as far as I'm aware..... seen pictures on Facebook of some of my contacts going there in Fancy dress (e.g. Wonder woman, Super girl, etc). The Granby pub, its on Skinner street, we found it as it was close to the B&B (The Leeway) we were staying at, great pub food and reasonabe priced ,not the most modern pub, but beer was good and the staff and regulars were very friendly, Thursday at 9pm is quiz night, a right good laugh. Pub is on two levels, the lower is a little more formal for eating, still casual.

The Pier pub, its as the name suggests on Pier road and 100yds from the Pier, inside is clean and has an immitation maritime theme, beer is average price and pub is handily placed. We didnt eat there, as we had a few drinks and then nipped a couple of doors down to the Magpie cafe for Fish n Chips. There is a duke box which is quite novel for a pub these days, barstaff were not exactly the most friendly. Not the best pub in Whitby, but certainly not the worst

It is thought that Whitby was the inspiration for Bram Stoker`s Dracula. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

BEEZ is an open plan, wine bar type drinking establishment and coffee house, modern clean but a little short in atmosphere at night, they do a cracking hot chocolate with marsh mallows and cream when you are cold, we went in Feb, so hence the hot chocolate ( see photo )
