Most of the best bars are around the Lace MArket and Hockley. I can reccomend: The Pitcher and Piano, Brass Monkey and Sugar Bar The Pitcher and Piano is inside an old church so if your very religous then don't go there! |

There are lots of niteclubs here - each catering to different markets. Media is pretty good and they do get some top DJ's playing there on a weekend. But is can be expensive. |

I haven't been out at night in Nottingham, as I was very young when I was last there. However Nottingham is a very exciting city, developing rapidly with a host of new bars, cafes and restaurants. If you are a rock music fan then you have to visit Rock City. It has been going for ages and is a traditional rock club with alternative nights, metal nights and has two floors with different music on each. The great thing about being in the Midlands is it is cheaper than down south so you get complete value for money also! casual - jeans are acceptable here, I wouldnt advise trainers but they are probably ok. |

This is a real alternative pub - lots of people go in here before going to Rock City. It plays metal music, soft rock, indie and alternative music, not for people who want to go to a smart pub or for the wine. casual - smart casual not appropriate |
