Well the park is the lungs of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, a small town about 20kms north of Nottingham. A 7 hectare public park with lots of woodland walks, wildlife and designated a site of special scientific interest. This is where I spent half my childhood. They even have a cafe now! (what is the world coming to?) Recently spent a pleasant Sunday afternnoon which bought back a few memories.... Directions: From Staion Road, main street thru town, turn onto Lindleys Lane and follow signs to carpark Leave a Comment

The Nottingham Lace Centre. According to my guide book, 'Cette belle demeure medievale du XIVeme siecle est riche en dentelles. Un grand choix de styles et de prix vous y attend, et vous pouvez vous essayer a la realisation d'un cousin de dentelle.' This means, according to my broken French, with help from my Pen Pal Melanie, that the lace centre is worth a visit! On le trouve sur Castle Road! Leave a Comment
