I took the train from Oxford. No direct trains so I had to change in Coventry and almost had to spend the evening there - luckily the connecting train came along! Leave a Comment Theme: Train

Train from most of the major cities in Britain. National Express coaches for those seeing Britain on a budget. East Midlands Airport for those who have plenty of money! Or drive straight up the M1 motorway from London. Nottingham has good bus services across the city and is currently installing a tramway too. If you are travelling by car to see the city, you are probably better off using the Park and Ride service. Basically park your car up at Cinderhill, Hyson Green, or Colwick and get the regular bus service in. At present you pay £1.50 to park your car which includes travel into the city for all your passengers too. Leave a Comment Theme: Train

If visiting from inside the UK, come by train, coach or car. If you are coming from Europe use a ferry or the Channel Tunnel followed by one of those methods. Alternativly and from outside of Europe, you need to fly in, best idea is to use either Manchester or Birmingham airport. Car, bus or walk - it's not a huge city. Cycling is not advised as there is not much provision in the way of cycle lanes etc. Leave a Comment Theme: Train
