 | Glasgow Alcohol Reviews | 1 - 5 of 5 | | All this nonsense about booze - ignore it. So what if there's a law that says you can't drink in the streets. Presumably you wouldn't habitually drink on the sidewalk at home, would you? So do what you'd do at home - If you want to drink, go to a bar. There are thousands of them, mostly nice and friendly. Anyway, if you've traveled thousands of miles or km to get to Glasgow, you will already have the wit to know how to behave sensibly. Leave a Comment

Glasgow is very and the people are extremely friendly. The only time when you have to be rather vigilant is on a Friday but particularly a Saturday night especially round about the witching hour when people are fuelled with too much alcohol and can be a bit out of control. Leave a Comment

It is illegal to drink alcohol on the streets or park areas in Glasgow. You could always try what the Americans do and drink out of a paper bag but I fear the Scots are a bit wise to that:) They have banned drinking in public places for (to tell you the truth I am not really sure why) I imagine it does not look good for any city with people going around drinking. There is a fine/penalty if you are caught in the street but please do not be too concerned about having a couple of beers in the park or somewhere like this. I should not imagine that this law would be heavily enforced on visitors. You should not run dry at all costs in this City. Try some Tennant's lager with a whisky chaser!!! Leave a Comment

It is illegal to drink alcohol in the street in Glasgow, even on a nice day a glass of wine sitting in the park is not allowed. I am not sure how heavily this law is enforced but it's best to be careful. Many bars and cafes have beer gardens or streetside seating (which is covered by their liquor licence) so you can sit outside and enjoy our brief glimpses of sun shine.
