It is a newer restaurant, but already one of my favorites. It is quite small, only seats about 25-30 people, and is usually quiet. The food is excellent. There is traditional fare available, such as omlettes, bacon and sausage, etc. For those veggies among us, or those who are into the organic thing, there are also some great veggie breakfast meals, among them a great whole grain hot cereal. The coffee is roasted locally and is fair trade, so your conscience can rest easy. The girls serving are quite friendly, and bring your food faster than any other place in town.
I love the whole grain oatmeal. It includes pot barley, rice, oats, sunflower seeds, cinnamon, and comes with sides of brown sugar and milk. Also comes with homemade whole grain toast, which is very tasty with PB! An added bonus to this meal (and many of the others) is that it is quite inexpensive: less than $6 CDN! Sticks to your ribs! One of my favorite restaurants in Kamloops, although I can only afford to go about twice a year! Situated in a Heritage House in the city's oldest neighbourhood, the West End, the restaurant is a charming and cozy place to visit. The service is impeccable, all the servers are well versed in the wine selections and pairings, as well as the menu. The restaurant features steak, a fresh sheet for seafood 2-3 times a week, and some fun and tasty Mexican starters and entrees. The wine is fantastic, although they do not have the best selection of BC wines (my only complaint!).
I always pick something off the fresh sheet. Their fish steaks are fabulous, usually served with a fantastic sauce, seasonal fresh veggies, and orzo. My boyfriend's favorite (when it is available) is the rack of lamb, which is absolutely supurb. Also worth a try is the sopapillas, a deep fried Mexican style donut served with honey butter, usually for an appetizer. Absolutely delicious. Also very good is their dessert menu, which I will leave for you to discover! This is an awesome restaurant, friendly atmosphere, and great food. It is family run, and George is a delight. They even have entertainment on the weekends... belly dancers! Be sure to call and book in advance as it is a very popular restaurant for locals.
Kalamari, Souvlaki, Pita Bread, etc... It is ALL great food! Leave a Comment

Everyday Rick offers a different selection of sandwiches. Just order the one that inspires you the most and enjoy it with the tortilla chips and the wonderful dip created by Rick. Don't miss the soup of the day and a slice of cake. All food is homemade, including the tea (iced in summer, hot in winter). Nice place, pretty small, very very friendly, good music and art, then talk a bit with Rick and you'll learn something you ignored before. Something that you cannot miss when in Kamloops. Opening hrs: 8am - 2pm, weekdays. P.S. Ask Rick if a special dinner is on its way...
Walla Walla Sandwich, with aged Gouda cheese is number 1. The bad thing is that it is available only when Walla Walla onions are. Anyway try any of the other San. Everyone deserves to be tasted! As we had just one hour to eat there, we chose McDonald's. If you don't feel like having a Big Mac, there is a Denny's restaurant next. If you are lucky and have plenty of time, go in search of a local restaurant and have a taste of Kamloops. Leave a Comment
