Peterson Creek Park is accessible from downtown Kamloops or from Sahali. The park is a very popular place to take a stroll with your family or dog.
The paths in the lower part of the park are quite easy. There are lots of little picnic tables and benches where you can stop for a break or have lunch. As you get further into the park, the trails get a little steeper. If you have very young children, I would recommend sticking to the lower trails.
If you decide to go on the higher trails, you will be rewarded at the end with a gorgeous waterfall and pool for wading in. A great way to cool your feet after hiking up!
It is possible to hike up behind the falls but the trails are very steep and tricky. If you go, take a friend and be careful.
A day pack with water, sunscreen and lunch. Comfortable hiking boots with high ankles (some difficult hiking spots where the ankle support will come in handy). Leave a Comment
