on June 22, 2005The paths in the lower part of the park are quite easy. There are lots of little picnic tables and benches where you can stop for a break or have lunch. As you get further into the park, the trails get a little steeper. If you have very young children, I would recommend sticking to the lower trails.
If you decide to go on the higher trails, you will be rewarded at the end with a gorgeous waterfall and pool for wading in. A great way to cool your feet after hiking up!
It is possible to hike up behind the falls but the trails are very steep and tricky. If you go, take a friend and be careful.
A day pack with water, sunscreen and lunch. Comfortable hiking boots with high ankles (some difficult hiking spots where the ankle support will come in handy).
