 | Whistler Things To Do | Tips 1 - 10 of 113 | | Popular Things To Do | Other Things To Do Tips | All Tips (113) Mt. Blackcomb is the big ski mountain in Whistler. It is about 2500 meters high. Though we were there in July we still rode the ski lift to the top. The view from up there is amazing. There is lodge/restaurant at the top you can visit as well as some hiking and mountain biking excursions where you can take the lift up to the top and then hike or ride down. I was not this adventurous! The lift ride alone was enough to scare me! Leave a Comment

If you are here in the winter and like to ski or snowboard, this is the place to be! Whistler has 2 mountains with tons of ski runs, snowboard pipes and so much more. A 5km/3 mile long gondola lifts skiers more than a vertical kilometer up Whistler Mountain above the valley to east-facing slopes served by eight chairlifts and a T-bar. Over the back of the main mountain, the Harmony Express quad chairlift serves 400 hectares (1,000 acres) of bowl skiing. Leave a Comment Address: Whistler Village Resort

Althought it's a men made water reservoir, I still thought the view from here was very pretty. So, I tried to take a picture without all the ropes and stuff in it. And that turned out very nice. I love the trees in it and the snowcapped mountains. Leave a Comment Address: On top of Whistler Mountain

As you are almost on the top of the Ridge Lookout Trail you have a great view over the Roundhouse Lodge, the village and the surrounding mountains. On the picture a cloud just happened to roll by and I thought it looked so neat that I just wanted to take a picture of it! Leave a Comment Address: On the top of Whistler Mountain

From the top of Whistler Mountain you just follow the signs to the Harmony Lake Trail & Loop. This trail is about 3.5km/2.2mi including the Harmony Lakes Loop. The trail takes you through the alpine meadows to Harmony Lake. Along the way you'll find some interpretive signs of the flowers and wildlife that you can find here. Most of the flowers were finished blooming by now, but it might be interesting to read about them. Don't forget to look around and enjoy the beautiful views along the way. Huffing and puffing we are at the top to the Ridge Lookout Trail. It's quite a steep trail, but definitely worth while to do it after you see those wonderful views! The picture below shows a wonderful view when we were about on the top of the Ridge Lookout Trail. From up here you have views over the Roundhouse Lodge, Whistler village below and the surrounding mountains. This picture looks towards the glaciers. Once you are at Harmony Lake you can make a loop around this lake and the lower Harmony Lakes. This is such a beautiful small lake with stunning sceney all the way around. There's a nice wooden trail that takes you around the lake or you can go from here to the lower lakes. There wasn't all that much water in the lake this year because of the very dry summer we had in BC. But it still looked very nice! Leave a Comment

Strolling around in Whistler Village is a fun thing to do. This is a car free village with lots of cozy shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, hotels and so much more. There are many events all year round that you can enjoy. From the village you have access to the gondola's that take you right up to Whistler mountain, this is especially something for the summer season. The other gondola's take you up for skiing and snowboarding during the winter season. You also have access to the Mountain Bike Park and bike rentals are available in the village. Leave a Comment

Take a day out to go up the Whistler Gondola in the summer season (from june till the end of September). The gondola takes you up to the top of Whistler Mountain where you can enjoy some magnificent views and a choice of several hiking trails. The gondola ride costs $24.61 CAD/$33.22 USD (including taxes). This ride is definitely worth the money and gives you stunning views over the mountains, forests and mountain meadows. The Harmony Lake Trail first takes you through some meadows and some sort of forested area. Look for the different birds you might see around. We saw several Gray Jay flying around and sitting on the tree tops. It's lovely looking bird. Leave a Comment Address: On top of Whistler Mountain
