Regular bear reports are posted at visitor's centres and you will not be allowed to walk solo or in two's but in organised bigger groups. Leave a Comment

Always be aware of the different types of wildlife you may encounter. Be careful on the roads because deer, elk, bighorn sheep and moose might just cross the street without any notice. We have seen a few deer, elk and bighorn sheep along the Highway driving through Yoho National Park, so keep your eyes open as you never know when they might cross the street. But also keep your eyes open for wildlife on your walks and hikes, especially be aware of bears. Leave a Comment

I thought I had driven on switchback before .... but apparently I hadn't! This section of Yoho Valley rd was amazingly intimidating - especially with 2 cars in opposite directions! There are signs leading up to it was warning, and trailers aren't allowed on this road ...... but there was a large F250 in front of me at one point that just couldn't make the turns ...... and had a back out ... (wimp!) So be cautious, and be aware of your own lmitations as a driver .... Leave a Comment

When you get near the base of the falls watch your camera lens. The mist is very thick at times and the wind can blow it right at you. Not that it would damage your camera, but it may ruin your shot. Another thing to watch out for on the hike to the base is the constant flow of people. This is one of the largest tourist attractions in the park so it is always busy. Leave a Comment
