    The parking here costs a bomb!

    Well, that's my very good friend who also didn't enjoy being in this part of town. He parked his car for one hour at the hotel because he had to pick me up and bring me over to Long Beach... Get this: his parking charge came to a grand total of US$10 for less than one hour! Gee, this really surprised us both because we didn't expect Hollywood to be this expensive!

    Maybe all these things just made the both of us not enjoy Hollywood.....

  • I have no problem with it, but certain relatives seem to think that the reason cart vendors don't put prices on their wares is so they can give everyone different prices. The more well off you look, the more money they'll ask from you. I don't agree with those relatives of mine, but it's something to consider.

  • here, especially in the evening. The Mann's Chinese Theater at the Hollywood and Highland complex is a true tourist trap that sucks extra money out of your precious pockets. Last time I check it was about $12 to see a feature. If possible, see a movie elsewhere from Sunset Blvd. where the cost at least a dollar less. Most evening shows are $7.00-$8.00.

    The Kodak Theater, home of the Academy Awards is featured along Hollwyood Blvd. Most of us will not be able to score an invite to the Oscar show but there are concerts and other events that occur here throughout the year. This is by no means the greatest venue for concerts. Inside , the decor is lovely and the views are fair to good. What's silly to me is $12 tour price- that much too much I say!!! It's better to see the place while enjoying an event here.

    Park the car and take the red line here if you can. You'll arrive just steps away from the entrance.

    see a concert at Univeral Amphitheater ( well, now, it is called Gibson Theater!!) on the Universal Studios Theme Park grounds, or at the Greek Theater in L.A./Hollywood area.
