This is THE place to come in to get some coffee and pastries. Just spectacular for putting the finishing touches on a night of drinking.

I like to eat at Buffalo Bob's Smoke house. They have good barbecue there. Buffalo Bob's is a casual place with stone walls and the heads of moose and bison hanging over the tables.
The 'Mother Lode' is a half slab of ribs and a sampling of all their other kinds of barbecue served with a mountain of curly fries and sides. Unless you are a big eater this could feed two people and costs about $11. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: 719 Massachusetts in Lawrence.Other Contact: Lots of places to eat on Massach

Last Summer we went to the Mad Greek on a weekend and they were serving a buffet. The buffet had lots of good things to eat.
Too much good food on the buffet to pick any one item. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: Mad Greek is on Massachusetts near the center of the down town area.

It's tough to find Middle Eastern, Greek, or Mediterranean food in this part of the world, but Aladdin Cafe (formerly Jerusalem Cafe) is a good choice; in fact I think it's the only choice around here other than The Mad Greek just to the north, also on the west side of Massachusetts. The only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is that their menu is so limited, but what they do offer is very good. For lovers of Greek food the mousaka is very good. Leave a Comment

Don't look for a gourmet experience here, or original, and unusual dishes. You go to Bambino's for a good, tasty meal that will fill you up and not set you back a bunch of cash. Standard Italian-American pasta dishes fill the menu, look spaghetti with meatballs or Fettuccino Alfredo. They're served in huge bowls. I have had excellent salads here - fresh and crispy with a variety of greens and an exceptional dressing. In nice weather, you can dine on the patio. This is not a pizza joint.
I like the Pasta al Papo (penne with Italian sausage and a spicy sauce), my wife prefers the chicken with fettucini in a white sauce. On our last visit, my daugher ordered a panini - it looked great, I'll try that next. Good old basic burgers and fries. This is a local fast food place - no chains. They pile on the meat and really give it flavor. Just leave your cholesterol count at the door.

Eveything you order will taste incredible and they pile it on your plate. Want fries with that? If you do, they'll come on their own plate. Sit back, relax, and unbuckle the belt to get it all in.

Einstein Brothers makes the best bagels in the area. Finally the midwest has the kind of bagels that you can buy in the northeast. Even better, Einstein Brothers now sells its bagels at area Super Target stores, where they are baked fresh on the premises three times daily.
