    The Williams Waterwall is a gorgeous piece of architecture located right next to the Williams Tower in the Uptown District. The 60+ ft. tall structure is in the shape of a semi-circle, with water that cascades down over it and down a series of steps towards the bottom. When you stand in front of it, especially at night when it is illuminated by lights from beneath the water, it is really a spectacular sight. It is situated at the end of a lovely little park surrounded by oak trees, and is a favorite photo opportunity for locals and visitors alike in Houston.

    The Williams Wall of Water is located in the Galleria area of Uptown. In fact just locate the Williams Tower - the largest skyscaper in the Galleria area with the pyramid pointy top and you'll find the Wall of Water adjacent with a large lawn in front.

    It's an impressive structure - I'm not quite sure why it's here - but it is impressive nevertheless!

    Scenic Water wall in the Galleria area. Very romantic spot, where many guys propose to their girlfriends. They always have horse carriages in the evenings if you want to take a romantic ride. And this is next to a park. It's a city landmark, most Houstonians have been here at least once! It was designed by local architects in 1985 and the wall of water drops thousands of gallons 64 feet every minute.

    Daily 7am-10pm. Viewing the waterwall is FREE!

  • There's not much to add about the Waterwall except, on a hot Houston summer day, it's the coolest spot in town...at least of all places without air conditioning!!!

    Down the end of a small park is the Water Wall. This is reported to be Houston's most photographed site. It is a striking U-shaped fountain which has water cascading down its inside and outside walls.

    It was early morning when we were there and the light wasn't exactly right, but I'm sure it would be even lovelier later in the day.

    Galleria mall is a major draw for both Houstonians and many visitors of the city. The mall has an ice rink inside and a collection of stores in mid to upper price bracket. Sadly, this pool is no more :(... - a victim to an ugly condo development.

    The fountain is an engineering marvel standing 8 storeys high.. It is a semicircle with water falling down the sides.. On the inside, stand in the center that is marked clearly and you will feel like you are rising up, something out of a Star Wars movie even..

    Also known as the Transco Tower, this huge structure dominates southwest Houston. It also has a water sculpture called the Williams Water Wall, or Transco fountain, nearby.

    This fountain, located next to the Transco Tower (whose current owner is rather unsuccessfully trying to call the Williams Tower), is one of the nicest places in the city, and another popular place for newlyweds' photos.
