 | Spring Flights and Airline Tips | Tips 1 - 6 of 6 | | The main "hub" of the city is centered around the mall. A very large movie theater is across the street as well as over 30 places to eat. The mall is really good. All of the regular department stores plus some really cool local shops, including local art dealers. During the holidays, the mall erects the largest ice-skating rink in Texas. I know what you are thinking... I thought the same thing. While it does get somewhat cold here, it definitely does not get cold enough to sustain ice. So, they construct a huge tent for the thing. Leave a Comment Directions: Right off I-45. Exit signs are everywhere. The main exit would be Research Forrest.

The Cynthia Mitchell Woods Pavillion is an AWESOME plcae to see a concert! This place brings in the biggest names in entertainment... Santana, Paul McCartney, Jewel, etc., etc. Every type of music, every type of entertainer plays here. Not only the names make this place great, though. What does is the super cool set-up. As you can see in the picture (which I might add, I had to hop a big fence to get for you guys!!!!), the main seating area is covered by a huge white tarp. Underneath is huge fans to keep you cool. The sound is great. But, if you don't like the expensive seats... the next tip will let you know where to sit... Leave a Comment

Then you can do what I would recommend... get the cheap seats, a blanket, some food, drinks, and your friends and have a picnic on the hill! This, in my opinion is the best "seat" in the house. Everyone just sprawled all over the place with elbow room to dance, or whatever. It still sounds great out here, and if it is good weather, then this is THE place to be! P.S. I had to jump the fence for this one too. The things I do for my VT'ers! Leave a Comment

Old Towne Spring offers many shoppes, with a variety of offerings: candles, books, clothing, toys, furniture, and more. There are several places to eat in Old Towne Spring. I recommend Wensche Bros cafe. You can also visit the Old Towne Spring museum to learn about the history of Spring, TX in particular and the Houston area in general. Leave a Comment Directions: North I-45 to Spring Cypress. Head East on Spring Cypress and you'll drive right into it.

Going to the movies these days has definitely changed. Now you can sit in a make-shift movie restaurant. The food is amazing and it's a great date idea! When you find your theatre you choose your seat and a waitress takes your order. If you need service during the movie you flick a small red light on and services comes right to you! There's even a full bar!! The food is delicious!!!!

ITZ is a "family fun center" that recently opened off of I-249 and FM 1960. Mostly made up of ill-mannered children and birthday parties it's fun to go to if you have small kids. To get in the door you have to buy a $10 buffet and you can buy your token cards there. Spend as much as you want on those! You can load all the money you want to on a card. The buffet consists of pasta, pizza, salad bar, ice cream, hot dogs on occassion and more. There are more sodas to pick from than I've seen before. You can only keep food in the dining room areas. There are a few different rooms with different themes: a cartoon, movie, and adult sports/news room. In the gaming area are roller coasters, bumper cars, video games, ticket games (games where the sole purpose is to get tickets), basketball shots and ski ball! Many offer tickets that you can trade in for prizes. If you have kids.....or grandkids.......I would definitely check this out. But, of course, you will be paying :) Address: 18355 Tomball ParkwayPhone: (832) 678-2151Directions: Just north of FM 1960 on SH-249Website: http://www.itzusa.com/
